with its beautiful parks, being able to be visited with the Bus line Tourism.
Already was distinguished at ONU, with the maximum prize of the environment
United Nations Environment (UNEP).

JARDIM BOTÂNICO (Botanical Garden)

The Botanical Garden Fanchette Rischbieter was inaugurated in 1991, with an area of 245.000 m². Its geometric gardens and the greenhouse of three vaults had become one of the main postal cards of Curitiba.

Jardim Botânico

The greenhouse shelters rare vegetal species of Brazil. Its architecture, in a metallic structure and art-noveau style, was inspired in a crystal palace that existed in London, in century 19. The Botanical Garden account still with the Botanical Museum, tracks in forest of "araucárias", lake, sports square and a velodrome.

PARQUE BARIGÜÍ (Barigüi Park)
Parque Barigüí

In the language of the indians, who before inhabited the region exactly of the foundation of Curitiba, Barigüi meant "River of the Prickly Fruit. Today, with 1,4 million m² of area, it is one of the biggest parks of the city and, surely, the most frequented..

The old "would sesmaria" pertaining to the tamer Mateus Martins Helm was transformed into park in 1972. Not only the inhabitants of the city and the tourists who look rest in the park. White Preás, socós, garças, opossums, crown sparrows, sabiás and a lot more of other native animals make of the Barigüi its dwelling. Amongst the equipment that the Park possesss they consist: churrasqueiras, kiosks, tracks of bicicross and aeromodelling, equipment for gymnastics, parking, restaurant, theme park , Museum of the Automobile, Park of Expositions and Center of Conventions, Station Maria Smoke and the Headquarters of the City department of the Environment. It can daily be visited, in free schedule.

ÓPERA DE ARAME (Opera of Wire)

One passarela raised, on a lake of 7.200 m2, gives access to this theater that is reference of the modern architecture of Curitiba

Constructed in a disactivated quarry, the stage occupies 400 m2 and counts on 1998 places between auditorium and berths.

PARQUE TANGUÁ (Tanguá Park)
Parque Tanguá

It occupies an area of 235.000 m2 of one old set of disactivated quarries. Inaugurated in 1996, the park guarantees the preservation of the basin North of the River Barigüi, near to its spring, in the city of Almirante Tamandaré.

Ocupa uma área de 235 mil metros quadrados de um antigo conjunto de pedreiras desativadas. Inaugurado em 1996, o parque garante a preservação da bacia Norte do Rio Barigüi, bem próximo à sua nascente, no município de Almirante Tamandaré.

He possesss two lakes and an artificial tunnel, for which the visitors can pass of boat. He is endowed still with anchorage, ciclovia, track of cooper, snack bar and two estacionamentos for cars. The visits are daily, between the 8 hours and the 18 hours.

PARQUE TINGUÍ (Tinguí Park)

Inaugurated in 1994, it possesss 380.000 m2 of area. Between its attractions are lakes, wood bridges, infantile park, track for cooper. In the entrance, it is seen statue of the Tindiqüera chieftain, leader of the Tingüi tribe, who indicated to the colonizadores the place where Lady of the Light of the Pinhais would have to be installed the Village Ours, today Curitiba.

Parque Tingüí

The park also shelters the Ucraniano Memorial, inaugurated in 26 of October of 1995 to mark the centenarian of ucraniana immigration in Brazil. It possesss chapel, bell tower, a typical house, palco to the outdoors and vestibule. All the constructions had been made with wood of incased law, also the coverings. The chapel is a rejoinder of the Church of Is Miguel Arcanjo, constructed in the end of the century passed in the locality of Mountain range of the Tiger, city of Mallet Marshal.

PARQUE DO PASSAÚNA

Inaugurated in 1991, it possesss an area of 6,5 million square meters bordering the dam of the River Passaúna, responsible on the part of the water supply of Curitiba.

To the side of the water jaçanãs and saracuras live. The bushes hides 'capivaras', 'graxains', ' mãos peladas', 'gambas', 'preás and until 'jaguatiricas'. Ecological track with 3,5 kilometers in the way of the bush, anchorage of boats, huts and a mirante with 46 meters of height.

PARQUE SÃO LOURENÇO

Parque São Lourenço

 

Inaugurated officially in 1972, the park has 203,918 square meters and occupies the place where one old glue plant functioned.

It possesss ample area of recreation.

 

Its main equipment is the Center of Creativity, managed by the Cultural Foundation of Curitiba, that carries through on activities to the plastic arts. Account still with library, place for expositions, audience and room of projection. Daily visitation, from the 8 hours to the 18 hours.

PASSEIO PÚBLICO

The park most central of the city was inaugurated in 1886, with an area of 69.285 square meters. Its main gates are examined copy of the Gate of the Cemetary of Dogs of Paris.

Passeio Público

MUSEU OSCAR NIEMEYER

 

With project architectural of Niemeyer Oscar, the museum has 33,000 m² of constructed area of which 15,300 m² destined the expositions, inserted in a complex of 144.000 m² that it includes a forest (the Forest Pope João Pablo II) and the Village of the Culture, that will occupy the constructions of the State Department of Official Transport (Deto).

RUA 24 HORAS

Created in 1992, it is the first street in the country projected in closed space, where the store never close. In the 120 meters of length, with metallic structure in arcs and covered of glass, the tourists and curitibanos amuse and make purchases in the 42 store.

ARENA DA BAIXADA ( Atlético Paranaense)

ESTÁDIO COUTO PEREIRA (Coritiba)

The Stadium of the Coritiba, is today the 5º bigger particular stadium of Brazil, and the biggest stadium of the state of the Paraná. With capacity of 55.000 people, the stadium calls Major Antonio Couto Pereira, but known as "Couto Pereira".
